Your eBook reader doesn't just slip out of the case. We tested this several times when calculating the bag size. As a result, it does not require a closure and remains minimalistic and stylish. At the same time, the size is optimized for optimal handling. So you can easily remove and insert your eReader.

Each custom-made Smukbird® e-Reader case protects your device from bumps and scratches. It is designed as a protective case. There is 2 mm felt on the outside, which is self-cleaning and keeps its shape for years. Inside there is soft, low-lint cotton.

There is 3 mm edge protection all around through the sewn felt edge. This means that the felt case offers the most protection exactly where an eReader reacts most sensitively in the event of a fall, namely at the corners. This greatly reduces the risk of cracks in the display.

Clean processing is one of our highest quality criteria. Our organic cotton yarn seams are even and clean, even in the curves. The felt parts are precisely cut. The cotton lining is fitted into the cover in such a way that the edges of the seam allowances are neatly covered and do not tear. Inside and out, you'll love the quality of our custom-made eReader cases. 

Simply insert your eBook reader into the case and easily remove it again. The protective cover fits perfectly and holds even without a closure. It fits around the device like a sleeve.

Your custom-made eBook reader case is 100% made in Germany in our own factory in Trier. This means we have an influence on all steps, can ensure high quality and ensure good working conditions. All of our cases have been extensively tested by us in everyday life. We've always thought about what's important to you and the many eReader owners. The wool for our felt comes from sheep in New Zealand and Australia and is mulesing-free. Mulesing is a controversial process that is unfortunately still practiced in Australia, but only with Merino sheep. The Australian wool from our German felt producer is 100% Merino wool free. This creates a mixture of New Zealand Merino wool and Australian non-Merino wool, which also has an impact on the particularly good and consistent quality of our felt. It is even, stable and pleasant to the touch.

The production of organic cotton is certified according to GOTS is subject to the socially and environmentally friendly GOT standards. The printing takes place within the EU in Poland at a modern textile printing company. The organic cotton yarn is produced in the tranquil Netherlands.

The felt cover is only made after ordering for a conscious and resource-saving use of the raw materials. We continue to pay attention to short supply chains and continually optimize them. We have found a sensible use for the leftover material created during production as filling material, so that production is almost waste-free.

The felt and cotton are completely biodegradable, preferably in your own garden compost. Only the logo label contains approximately 20% plastic. It's best to cut it off before composting. Thanks!
