The device doesn't just slip out of the cell phone pocket. We tested this several times when calculating the bag size. As a result, it does not require a closure and remains minimalistic and stylish. At the same time, the size is optimized for optimal handling. So you can easily remove and insert the iPhone.

Each Smukbird® mobile phone case protects your device from bumps and scratches. It is designed as a protective case. There is 2 mm felt on the outside, which is self-cleaning and keeps its shape for years. Inside there is soft, low-lint cotton.

There is 3 mm edge protection all around through the sewn felt edge. This means that the case offers the most protection exactly where a smartphone reacts most sensitively in the event of a fall, namely at the corners. This greatly reduces the risk of cracks in the display.

If you use a silicone phone case, a flip case, or a bumper for your , you can simply indicate this when ordering. We take this into account for your custom bag by slightly enlarging the cut. The basis is extensive tests on fit accuracy. In doing so, we have tested all possible types of phone cases, with and without cover, case, or bumper.

There is easily space for 8 cards in EC card format. The card compartment made of cork fabric is flat and not bulky. Everything is well protected thanks to the zipper. Instead of multiple card slots, a single wallet compartment is sufficient.

Clean processing is one of our highest quality criteria. Our organic cotton yarn seams are even and clean, even in the curves. The felt parts are precisely cut. The cotton lining is fitted into the felt cover in such a way that the edges of the seam allowances are neatly covered and do not tear. The wool for our felt comes from sheep in New Zealand and Australia and is mulesing-free. Mulesing is a controversial process that is unfortunately still practiced in Australia, but only with Merino sheep. The Australian wool from our German felt producer is 100% Merino wool free. This creates a mixture of New Zealand Merino wool and Australian non-Merino wool, which also has an impact on the particularly good and consistent quality of our felt. It is even, stable and pleasant to the touch. For our cell phone case with wallet function we use vegan cork material instead of leather.

The production of organic cotton is certified according to GOTS is subject to the socially and environmentally friendly GOT standards. The printing takes place within the EU in Poland at a modern textile printing company. The organic cotton yarn is produced in the tranquil Netherlands.

Cork has a uniquely pleasant feel. The harvest is good for our environment and the people who grow cork oaks. Cork oak forests are particularly sustainable biotopes with diverse flora and fauna. The tree forms new bark every 9-11 years. A cork oak that is harvested binds 3 times as much CO₂ as one that is not harvested. Harvesting is a Portuguese tradition that can only be done by hand. It guarantees forest owners a secure and well-paid existence.
