Wall clock made of felt & cork

Wall clocks not only tell you the time, they add personality to your space. Choose between our five designs and two timeless felt colors for the perfect time and bring silent timekeeping to your home or office. This is ensured by the whisper clockwork from the traditional German company Dugena.

Dugena is a traditional brand known for its precision, reliability and high-quality workmanship. A special feature of Dugena is the “Made in Germany” label, which the brand proudly wears on its watches. This means that the watches are manufactured and assembled in Germany, ensuring high quality and reliability.

Dugena has a long history that dates back to 1917. The name “Dugena” stands for “German Watchmakers’ Cooperative Alpina,” which was founded in 1917 as an association of watchmakers to work together to produce high-quality watches.

In the 1920s, Dugena began producing wristwatches and soon became known for its precise and reliable timepieces. In the 1950s, Dugena brought the first German automatic watch onto the market, setting a new standard in the watch industry.

Today Dugena is best known for its classic and timeless designs.

Our wool felt is manufactured in a traditional German company. A mixture of merino wool and other types of wool is used, which creates a particularly even and dense felt structure.

The wool is sourced from trustworthy shepherds who do not use so-called mulesing. Mulesing is a very painful cutting of the anal skin folds in Merino wool sheep without anesthesia. The main country of origin of our Merino wool is New Zealand. Mulesing is prohibited here. In Australia we only source mulesing-free, non-Merino wool.

Cork is an outstanding material in many ways. The cork comes from cork oak trees, which are grown in sustainable forestry in Portugal. Farming and harvesting is a traditional profession with a good living. After peeling, the oak trees produce new cork bark every time and bind 3 times as much CO₂ as without harvesting. However, peeling is only possible by hand. A cut that is too deep prevents the new bark from forming.

Our denim watches were designed by Daniela Bergert under the Wabi Sabi Denim label. The result is a limited wall clock edition made of denim and cork. We share common values ​​with the Wabi Sabi Denim brand such as:

The clocks are decorated with traditional Japanese sashiko embroidery. Each piece is unique and handcrafted. The result is fantastic and we would love to keep all the watches ourselves.
